RE-EDUCATING & BEHAVIOURAL PROBLEM SOLVING

Behavioural problems come in all sorts of guises from bucking, rearing, kicking out, to a simple lack of manners or respect, but no matter how it transpires there is always an underlying problem, that requires a holistic approach to find the root cause; Is the horse in pain? Is the horse overfed relative to its workload? Does the tack fit correctly? Does the horse have dental issues etc, etc... A horse free of pain or discomfort is always going to be far more attentive to the re-educting process. I work with the horse to overcome the issues with understanding and the correct basic schooling giving the horse the confidence to progress.

Advice and direction is given to owners of all horses that have been started or re-eductated with me, it's an important part of ensuring the continuity of the horses progress without causing any issues from miscommunication or misinterpretation.

FLOAT TRAINING

Float loading is a common problem that owners often inherit and or experience. I can help you and your horse to gain the confidence to calmly and safely load.

Wether they've had issues for a while or have never been on a float before I can visit your property to assess the situation and provide you with the assistance and techniques to overcome possible loading reluctance!


WEANLING & YEARLING HANDLING

As mentioned on the 'Horse Starting' page; "All great structures require a solid foundation to underpin development" and starting this process as early as possible will give the head start every youngster deserves.

I can give them the confidence and understanding to lead, tie up, pick up feet along with the manners to make them a respectful and confident young horse.
